BATHINDA:The Democratic Rights Sabha state committee, along with various other organisations, on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner demanding the cancellation of Section 295AA.

The Democratic Rights Sabha state committee, along with various other organisations, on Tuesday submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner demanding the cancellation of Section 295AA.

Sabha president principal Bagga Singh, general secretary Prithpal Singh and Dr Ajitpal Singh said Section 295 AA had been passed without much public discussion and this law was a backward step and was against the present international laws. They said Section 295 AA would be misused as 295 A was being misused presently.

The delegation was comprised of Ranbir Rana, Amar Singh Sidhu, Darshan Maur, Lachman Singh Sevewala, Santokh Singh, Mandhar Singh, Ashwani Kumar Ghudda, Amrik Singh, Jagsir Singh, Jagjit Joga and others.
