District-level games kick off in Muktsar

MUKTSAR: The district-level games (Under-14) kicked off at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium here on Friday.

The district-level games (Under-14) kicked off at Guru Gobind Singh Stadium here on Friday. The event is being organised by the Sports Department, in collaboration with the district administration, Education Department and District Olympics Association.

Muktsar Deputy Commissioner MK Aravind Kumar inaugurated the event. He said nowadays, children were losing their connection with parents due to the excessive use of mobile phones and other electronic gadgets.

“For the overall personality development of children, their connection with society is must. The games prove to be of great help in getting our children out of this crisis,” he added. —TNS
