Bathinda, April 16

Farmers under the banner of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Ekta Ugrahan), Mansa district, on Tuesday staged a protest outside the Tata Motor agency located in Bathinda alleging that they had done wrong service of the vehicle during the warranty period which had led to damage of its engine.

Addressing the protesters, Ram Singh Bhiani Bagha said Bhola Singh of Moje Kalan village in Mansa had purchased a Tata Ace vehicle from the Tata agency in Bathinda one and a half years ago and the agency had told him to get its service done from Kisan Motor service station at Mansa.

He said during the second service, a mechanic had committed negligence as he filled old mobile oil and kept the net of the filter loose, which damaged the engine due to leaking of oil. He said Bhola Singh had met the agency owner repeatedly, but the issue had not been resolved till date. — TNS
