BATHINDA: Exciting and tough contests were witnessed on Friday on the second day of the district-level school athletics meet being held at the Multi-purpose Sports Stadium.

Exciting and tough contests were witnessed on Friday on the second day of the district-level school athletics meet being held at the Multi-purpose Sports Stadium. Prof Surjeet Singh and Harjinder Singh Jeeda were the special guests.

Results of the games:

In U-19, Gurpreet Singh of Balluana won the first position in 3000m (boys) race, Dilpreet Singh of Goniana bagged the second position and Mani Singh of Kotshamir finished third.

In girls’ category, Ishu of Ballianwali bagged the first, Manpreet Kaur of Kotshamir second and Gurjiwan Kaur got the third position.

In discus throw (boys), Dilsher Singh of Bathinda got first, Nitish Tomar of Bathinda second and Kanwarpal Singh of Bangi Kalan got the third position.

In girls’ category, Jaspal Kaur of Kalyan Sukha got first, Manreet Kaur of Bathinda second and Sandeep Kaur got the third position.

In triple jump (boys), Daljit Singh of Kotshamir bagged first, Manjinder Singh of Bhai Rupa second and Khushkaran Singh of Ramnagar got the third position.

In U-17 javelin throw (girls’), Samridhi Kaur of Bathinda got first, Rachpal Kaur of Malkana got second and Arshdeep Kaur of Bhagu got the third position.

In 3,000m race (girls’), Mandeep Kaur of Bhai Rupa bagged first, Lovepreet Kaur of Talwandi Sabo second and Ketanpreet of Kararwala got the third position.

In discus throw (boys), Jashan Singla of Maur got first, Binderjeet of Bangi second and Gurfateh Singh of Kararwala got the third position.

In 5,000 walk (boys), Dharampreet Singh of Lehri got first, Jagsir Singh of Talwandi Sabo second and Pradeep Singh of Bhai Maskeen Academy got the third position.

In 100m girls’ race, Jyoti Kaur of Bathinda got first, Ramandeep Kaur of Bhai Rupa second and Sukhpreet Kaur of Jajjal third position.

In U-14 category in 400m race (boys), Vipanjit Singh of Maur got first, Sandeep Pal of Harraipur second and Jaskaran Singh of Pakka Kalan got the third position.

In girls’ category, Sharandeep Kaur of Jogewala got first, Gurpreet Kaur of Jodhpur Pakhar second and Pooja Rani of Faridkot Kotli got the third position.

In 100m race (girls), Muskan of Bathinda got first, Sharandeep Kaur of Jogewala second and Kiranjeet Kaur of Chak Heera Singhwala village got the third position.

In boys’ category, Balkar Singh of Nehiwala got first, Inderjeet Singh of Bangi second and Arshdeep Singh of Kotshamir got the third position.

In shot-put (boys), Happy of Bangi won first, Jaspree Singh of Rajgarh Kubhe second and Jasmeet Singh of Chak Fateh Singh got the third position.
