Bathinda: A Muktsar district resident has been booked for raping a 19-year-old girl on the pretext of marrying her. A case has been registered at the Nandgarh police station against the accused. In a complaint lodged by the girl, it has been stated that accused Harmanpreet Singh, a resident of Buttar village in Muktsar, took her to Rohtak and on the pretext of marrying her, he raped her against her will. A case under sections 376 and 366 of the IPC has been registered on the complaint of the girl, a resident of Jangirana village in Bathinda district.
