Peninsula Mall owner booked for fraud

BATHINDA: The HBN Company has got embroiled in another controversy as the Thermal Plant police have registered a case of fraud against its owner.

The HBN Company has got embroiled in another controversy as the Thermal Plant police have registered a case of fraud against its owner. It has been alleged that the company owner took money and sold shops in Peninsula Mall, owned by the company and located on Goniana road, but did not get the registry done in the name of the buyer.

The police have registered the case on the complaint of Ramesh Kumar, a resident of Balaram Nagar. He has stated that he had purchased three shops at Peninsula Mall at a cost of Rs 40 lakh and after paying the full amount, he had taken the possession of these shops. But the company did not get the registry done in the name of the buyer.

Further, he had stated that through newspapers he had got to know that the shops had now been given to SEBI for auction by the HBN Company owner Harmander Singh Sra, along with his partners.

The Thermal Plant police station SHO, Inspector Rachpal Singh, said they had registered a case against Harmander Singh Sra on the complaint of Ramesh Kumar.
