Giving a shot in the arm to the Punjab Police campaign against drug addiction, Guru Gobind Singh Refinery on Friday contributed Rs 3.60 lakh for putting up flexes, banners and hoardings to create awareness on social issues across the Bathinda range.
Refinery AGM Charanjit Singh, chief welfare officer Sandeep Singh and PR official Waheguru Pal Singh handed over the cheque to SSP Dr Nanak Singh. The aid will be used to put up 300 flexes, 300 flex frame boards and 60,000 posters.
The SSP appreciated the efforts of the refinery administration for extending their support for social causes. He said drug addiction had become a malady for society. He called upon other corporate houses to extend a helping hand.
