Renowned artistes take part in art fest

Four day-long art festival organised by the Sobha Singh Memorial Society concluded here at Teachers’ Home in the city on Sunday.

More than 60 artistes from the region participated in various creative art forms during the fest. The fest was an attempt to bring seasoned as well as budding artistes under one umbrella and showcase their artistic prowess in various art forms. Renowned artistes from the region marked their presence on the final day of the fest and shared their experiences.

The artistes also lauded the organisers for organising the festival and appreciated the work of other artistes. Seven artists from Punjab and Haryana were felicitated for their valuable contributions to the field of art during the closing ceremony.

Renowned painting artist Yashpal Singh was felicitated with a lifetime achievement award for his contribution in the field of art.
