Faridkot, July 15

To attract more students, a Government High School in Wara Bhai Ka village in Jaito sub division in Faridkot has decided to give a smart makeover to the school.

After the school earned the status of a “Smart School” from school education department this year, the teachers in the school and village panchayat decided to give a ‘smart and attractive’ look to this now elevated, Senior Secondary School.

All seven rooms in the school have been painted to look like a train.

Spending over Rs 4 lakh to make plastic painting of all these rooms, the village panchayat and school teachers left nothing to chance, said Jagsir Singh, a teacher in the school.

Jasmail Kaur, sarpanch of Wara Bhai Ka said that after Jagsir Singh floated the idea to give a smart look to the school, and the villages readily agreed to foot the expenses.

School has 175 students and 16 staff members.

The train look is more attractive to the students and residents of Wara Bhai Ka as this village has no railway station. Now sitting in a room, resembling a train, add to the third of students, said the teachers in the school.

Now this school is known as an Education Express.
