Bathinda: The Mansa police have arrested two persons after habit-forming drugs were recovered from their possession. Sardulgarh DSP Sanjiv Goyal said a police party was patrolling and on suspicion, a car was stopped.



Bathinda: The Mansa police have arrested two persons after habit-forming drugs were recovered from their possession. Sardulgarh DSP Sanjiv Goyal said a police party was patrolling and on suspicion, a car was stopped. He said during a checking, 99,000 banned tablets and 1,850 injections were seized. He said three persons were travelling in the car and of them, one managed to give the police the slip. The accused have been identified as Daman Ram and Talwinder. Their accomplice, who managed to flee from the spot, was identified as Balwinder Singh. TNS

Tributes paid to Pulwama martyrs

Bathinda: Students and faculty members of Guru Kashi University condemned the Pulwama terror attack and paid tributes to the martyrs. They also observed a two-minute silence to express their solidarity with the soldiers who sacrificed their lives for the nation. Vice-Chancellor Dr Jaswinder Singh Dhillon condemned the announced free education for the families of the martyrs of the country. TNS
