Volleyball meet at Baba Farid College

BATHINDA: Students of the Department of Humanities of Baba Farid College organised a two-day shooting volleyball tournament on college campus.

Bathinda, October 20

Students of the Department of Humanities of Baba Farid College organised a two-day shooting volleyball tournament on college campus. A total of 68 teams comprising 680 students from various colleges of the Baba Farid Group of Institutions (BFGI) participated in the tournament.

Team of BA students won first position while team of BSc (agriculture) students stood second. The Head of the Department of Humanities congratulated the winning team.

Dr Gurmeet Singh Dhaliwal, Chairman of the BFGI, and Dr Jaya Ashish Sethi, principal of Baba Farid College, appreciated the efforts of management team and the Sports Department of the BFGI for organising the tournament. Along with education, such activities were also needed to develop student’s personality, they said.
