Gidderbaha MLA Amarinder Singh Raja Warring, who unsuccessfully contested against Harsimrat Badal from Bathinda, on Friday said, “We will analysis the reason for the defeat. After 10 to 15 days, I will be able to tell the reason.”

Warring on Friday morning visited Joggers Park where he interacted with residents and thanked them for supporting him. Thereafter, he visited the District Courts Complex and thanked advocates for their support in the Lok Sabha elections.

On Friday, he also attended a religious function organised by the Congress Bathinda (Rural) president Khushbaz Singh Jattana in Talwandi Sabo. He also paid a visit to the house of Harvinder Singh Laddi, Congress halqa in-charge of Bathinda (Rural).

In the evening, Warring, along with Finance Minister Manpreet Badal, held a meeting with party workers at Chhabra palace.

It was a closed-door meeting and the media was not allowed to enter the palace. It is learnt that he thanked party workers for working round the clock for the past one month and giving a tough fight to the Badals.

He also expressed wish to contest against the Badals in future.

In the evening, the Gidderbaha MLA also visited Dadi-Poti park and expressed gratitude to people for their support. He also met Congress worker from Malkana village at the Civil Hospital.

Addressing a press conference on Friday, SAD leader Sarup Chand Singla said the victory of Harsimrat Kaur Badal from Bathinda city was a “referendum” of people against Manpreet Badal. He said instead of giving anything to the city, the Finance Minister was taking away from people by imposing “gunda” tax. He also accused the Finance Minister of getting false cases registered.

Singla said, “False cases have been registered against SAD workers who were on polling duty in various areas of the city. In Lal Singh Basti, Chamkaur Singh Mann and other SAD workers have wrongly been framed. I have urged the SSP to withdraw all false cases registered against SAD workers in the city.”

The former SAD MLA also threatened to protest in coming days if “false” cases were not cancelled.
