Ambala, October 21
One person was killed and seven others injured when the auto-rickshaw they were travelling in rammed into a stationary truck at Hamidpur Mod on the NH-344 in Mullana here this evening.
The deceased has been identified as Pala Ram, a resident of Khudda village.
As per information, the victims were on their way from Mullana to Khudda village in an auto-rickshaw. When the auto-rickshaw reached near Hamidpur Mod, it rammed into a stationary truck.
The injured persons were rushed to MM Hospital Mullana. The victims have been identified as Pala Ram’s wife Bala Devi, son Praveen Kumar, daughter-in-law Neelam Rani, granddaughter Pari, their Shiksha Devi and Leela Devi. Auto driver Sushil Kumar, a resident of Khudda village, was also among those injured in the mishap. — TNS
