A local court awarded 10-year jail term to a 32-year-old man, who was found carrying 146 banned injections.
Joginder Singh of Sector 25 was convicted under Section 22 of the NDPS Act. The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh on the convict.
As per the FIR, on November 8, 2016, a police party was patrolling in Sector 39 when it saw the convict. It was stated that he turned around on seeing the police. Cops nabbed him and recovered 143 injections. He failed to produce any permit or licence for the same. — TNS
