2 suicide incidents reported from city

CHANDIGARH:Sources said a youth, identified as Balbir committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Sector 52.

Chandigarh, August 12

Two suicide incidents were reported from the city on Sunday.

Sources said a youth, identified as Balbir committed suicide by hanging himself at his house in Sector 52. The 20-year-old victim was alone at the home when he took the extreme step. His family members later found him hanging and informed the police about the incident.

No suicide note has been recovered from the spot. The police have initiated an inquest proceeding at the Sector 36 police station.

In another incident, Shiv Kumar, a resident of Indira Colony, Mani Majra, reportedly committed suicide by hanging. No suicide note has been recovered from the spot.

The police have initiated an inquest proceeding in this regard at the IT Park police station.
