20-yr jail to man for sodomising minor stepson

AMBALA: The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Yashwinder Paul Singh has sentenced a man to 20-year imprisonment for sodomising his minor stepson.

The court of Additional District and Sessions Judge Yashwinder Paul Singh has sentenced a man to 20-year imprisonment for sodomising his minor stepson.

The victim was around 11-year-old at the time of the incident. In a complaint to the police, the child’s mother stated that she tied the knot with the convict around seven years ago. On the night intervening March 18 and 19, the convict sodomised the minor. When she confronted him, he threatened to kill them.

A case was registered at the Panjokhra police station under Sections 377 and 506 of the IPC and Section 6 of the POCSO Act. A fine of Rs 22,000 was also slapped by the court.
