3 of family thrashed over land dispute in Mullana

AMBALA: The Ambala police have booked an identified person and some unidentified people for allegedly thrashing three people of a family over an old land dispute in Mullana last night.

The Ambala police have booked an identified person and some unidentified people for allegedly thrashing three people of a family over an old land dispute in Mullana last night.

The suspect has been identified as Ashish Bhatia.

The injured persons have been identified as Kala Singh, Neelam and Dinesh.

According to information, Ashish and the victims are relatives and they have an old dispute over land.

In his complaint to the police, Kala Singh, a resident of Mullana, alleged that he, along with his wife Neelam, was sleeping at their house while his son Dinesh and Mohit were studying. Around 11:15 pm, Ashish Bhatia, a resident of Mullana, entered their house along with six youths and started thrashing them. While Ashish was allegedly holding a sword, his accomplices were carrying iron pipes.

Mohit managed to hide himself from their attack.

The suspects also damaged a LED TV and windowpanes of a car. The injured were rushed to MM Hospital, Mullana, where they are undergoing treatment.

Dinesh said: “Last night, I heard a noise of someone pelting stones at our car. When I came out, I found that around seven youths were standing outside, including my uncle’s son Ashish.”

The complainant alleged that Ashish’s mother Kanta Rani, sister Ramna and sister-in-law are the conspirators behind the attack on the family members.

A case has been registered under Sections 148, 149, 323, 325, 452, 427 and 120-B of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at the Mullana police station.

Car’s windowpanes, LED TV damaged

The suspects also damaged a LED TV and windowpanes of a car. The injured were rushed to MM Hospital, Mullana, where they are undergoing treatment.
