35-yr-old hangs herself to death

A 35-year-old woman allegedly committed suicide by hanging herself from the ceiling at her rented accommodation in Saidpura village here today.

The deceased has been identified as Savita, who basically belongs from Bihar. At present, she was putting up at a rented accommodation in Saidpura village.

The police said the incident came to light when the victim’s 11-year-old child Gaurav, who was playing outside in the morning, returned home and found her mother hanging from a ceiling.

The child immediately informed his neighbours about the incident. The neighbours then informed Savita’s husband who was at work. No suicide was recovered from the spot, said the police.

The reason behind taking such an extreme step was yet to be ascertained. It has been learnt that Savita had an argument with her husband last evening. She was found hanging the next morning. The police have started investigations into the matter.
