4 KZF activists sent to judicial custody

MOHALI: The four suspects, held by the police in connection with Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) Module, were sent to judicial custody by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) designate court at Mohali, today.

The four suspects, held by the police in connection with Khalistan Zindabad Force (KZF) Module, were sent to judicial custody by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) designate court at Mohali, today.

The suspects, Balwant Singh, alias Baba, Mann Singh, Akashdeep Singh and Akash Randhawa, were brought here under tight security and produced in the court today.

The police claimed that they had recovered five AK-47 rifles,16 magazines, pistols, 472 rounds of ammunition, nine hand grenades, satellite phones and fake currency worth Rs 10 lakh in the case.

Earlier, the suspects were arrested in September by the Punjab Police. Later, investigation was handed over to the NIA. A case under Sections 489-A, 489-B, 489-C and 120B, IPC, Section 25 of Arms Act, Section 3, 4 and 5 of Explosive Substances Act, Section 15, 17, 18, 18-B & 20 of UA(P) Act and Section 52- A, Prison Act, 1984, was registered against suspects.
