Chandigarh, December 4
A local court today sent the five suspects in the F Bar firing case to judicial custody.
Three gunshots were fired following a clash between two groups during the birthday party of BJP MP Kirron Kher’s close associate Sahdev Salaria at the night club in Sector 26 here on November 20.
The suspects, Chetan Munjal, Rajesh Paswan, Rinku, Rohit, alias Rimy, and Arjun Thakur, son of a head constable, were booked in a case of attempt to murder and the Arms Act registered at the Sector 26 police station.
According to a complaint lodged with the police, Rinku and Chetan had pulled out pistols and allegedly fired gunshots. Two pistols were recovered by the police. The suspects were arrested from Ropar ten days after the incident. — TNS
