70-year-old man found unconscious dies in hospital

MOHALI: The police found an elderly man lying unconscious near the Phase VII traffic lights here on Thursday evening.

The police found an elderly man lying unconscious near the Phase VII traffic lights here on Thursday evening.

The Matour police said the man, appearing to be 70 years of age, was shivering with cold. He was rushed to the Civil Hospital in Phase VI here, from where he was shifted to the GMCH, Sector 32. After a few hours, he was declared dead by doctors at the GMCH-32. The police said the body has been kept in the mortuary of the hospital. Sub-Inspector Kewal Singh, Mataur police station, said the deceased was yet to be identified. He said a DDR would be registered only after his family members identify him.
