Another guard attacked at Ghalori cremation ground

PATIALA:Within a few days of arresting two alleged members of robbers’ gang for killing a 70-year-old security guard at Ghalori cremation ground in Patiala last month, another security guard was assaulted at the same crematorium today.

Within a few days of arresting two alleged members of robbers’ gang for killing a 70-year-old security guard at Ghalori cremation ground in Patiala last month, another security guard was assaulted at the same crematorium today.

The victim has been identified as Jora Singh.

The police said the security guard has stated in his complaint that some unidentified men had attacked him. 

The police said the miscreants had allegedly attacked arms and legs of the security guard. The doctors declared the victim out of danger was discharged after initial treatment.

“We are trying to look into the motive behind the attack. The statement of the victim has already been recorded. We have initiated the probe and will soon register a case against the unidentified assailants who attacked the guard,” said the Station House Officer (SHO) of Division No. 2 police station.
