Those wanting to take part in the auction of commercial and residential plots in Panchkula will have to wait for at least a month as the Haryana Urban Development Authority (HUDA) has decided to postpone it. According to information, the HUDA authorities are yet to decide the reserve price of the properties in the city. The auction will be held around Diwali.
HUDA has decided to auction sites for two hotels (five and three star) and eight schools. A five star hotel will come up at City Centre, Sector 5. The site for the three star hotel falls in Sector 16. One of the biggest plots, measuring five acres, will also be auctioned, for which the authorities are trying to contact renowned companies of Gurugram, Delhi and Noida.
One of the biggest sites for a school in Sector 21 will also be auctioned and a survey report regarding it has already been sent to the higher authorities. The other seven school sites are located at Sector 2,19, 24, 25, 27, 28 and the MDC,Sector 6. HUDA will auction 50 14-marla plots at the MDC, Sector 6.
Estate Officer Vimal Deep said the e-auction was delayed due to administrative problems. He said the reserve price was yet to fixed and a meeting in this regard would be held soon. — TNS
