Bizman held with 6-gram cocaine

CHANDIGARH:The UT police have arrested a 35-year-old Ludhiana-based businessman while possessing six grams of cocaine.

The UT police have arrested a 35-year-old Ludhiana-based businessman while possessing six grams of cocaine.

The accused has been identified as Neeraj, a resident of GK Vihar, Ludhiana. He was arrested by a team of the Maloya police from near the Grain Market in Sector 39 here.

The police said the accused, who has his own garment business in Ludhiana, was arrested on a tip-off. “The accused has revealed that he purchased the drug from an African in Delhi”, said a police official.

A case was registered against the accused under the NDPS Act at the Maloya police station. The accused has been sent to judicial custody.
