Bollywood actor Madhuri Dixit sold her 1-kanal kothi at Mansa Devi Complex in Sector 4 here for Rs 3.15 crore.

In 1996, the then Chief Minister Bhajan Lal had given her the plot from the CM’s discretionary quota. Then, Madhuri was at the peak of her career in the Hindi film industry. Sources said Madhuri’s husband Shriram Nene, whom she had given the general power of attorney (GPA), visited the HSVP office in Sector 6 on Friday to complete the formalities like obtaining permission to sell.

At the time of allotment on March 4, 1996, the worth of the plot was Rs 2, 77,746. The construction of the house (# 310) was apparently completed in 2011 or 2012.

Daleep Chauhan, the owner of Chauhan Associates in Sector 21, said the property’s market value was around Rs 3 crore. The house has been sold to Amit Taneja, chief business officer of Cleartrip, a global online travel company. He lives in Mumbai where his firm’s headquarters is located.
