CHANDIGARH:Maya Mera Sneha, a Delhi-Kolkata team of fours, won the 10th Steel Strips Open Bridge Championship here on Saturday.

Chandigarh, May 18 

Maya Mera Sneha, a Delhi-Kolkata team of fours, won the 10th Steel Strips Open Bridge Championship here on Saturday. 

Positioned sixth in the Swiss League, the team comprising Sunil Bhatia, Sukamal Das, Satyabrata Mukh and Avijit Chakrabarty scored 96.96 points in the Super League to jump to the top.

The Steel Strips team of Subhash Gupta, Arun Bapat, Rajeshwar Tiwari and Jaggy Shivdasani scored 87.83 points to claim the second position. 

In the pairs, the team of Anil Bharihoke and MR Goel claimed the title with a score of 863.84 points. The duo of Vijay Kumar and PC Gupta finished second with 816.78 points. 

Cash prizes worth Rs 2 lakh were distributed among the top-eight finishers. 

Chairman, Steel Strips Group, RK Garg awarded the winners along with HS Dhariwal, president, Chandigarh Bridge Association.
