Cash, jewellery stolen from house

Dera Bassi: Thieves struck at a house in Dera Bassi on Friday night and decamped with cash and gold ornaments. No one was present in the house at the time of the incident as all family members had gone to attend a marriage function at Gholu Majra near Dera Bassi. Naveen Kumar, a manager at a private company and owner of the house, told the police that they found locks of their safe broken after returning from the function. Around Rs 25,000 in cash and gold ornaments were found missing. — OC
