Mohali, October 15

Members of the Class IV Employees Association (Education Department) today took out a shirtless protest in front of the DPI office at Phase 8 here.

The protest was led by the association president Ajaib Singh, who alleged that their demands regarding promotion of employees were not being met by the government.

"We had staged a protest on September 30 and gave an ultimatum to the government to release our promotion letters by October 10. As our demands have not been met, we are holding the protest," said the president of the association.  — TNS
