Chandigarh: The Annual Inter-DPS National Commerce Festival – Vanijya was held at Delhi Public School, Chandigarh.



Chandigarh: The Annual Inter-DPS National Commerce Festival – Vanijya was held at Delhi Public School, Chandigarh. More than 180 students from 20 DPS schools from across the country competed against each other in highly challenging events. The chief guest on the occasion was Shashank Anand, SSP, Traffic & Security, Chandigarh, and the guest of honour was Ajay Bahl, Cardiology Prof, PGIMER. Events such as Bizmania – ‘The Business Quiz’, Pandora’s Box – ‘The Product Fair’, Juggernaut – ‘Launch Your Dream Scheme’, Expressions – ‘De-stress Factory ‘ and Enchanteur – ‘Micro Tales’ were part of the competition. DPS Chandigarh bagged the overall trophy, but passed it to the DPS Dwarka.

GMSSS-38 

Chandigarh: To observe ‘UN International Day of the Girl Child’, a poster making and slogan writing events, followed by an awareness rally was organised by Peace Club, Mahatma Gandhi Student Legal Literacy Club of Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 38(West), Dadu Majra Colony, Chandigarh.

The British School 

Panchkula: Students of The British School, Panchkula, showcased an exemplary performance when they enacted short scenes from ‘Ramayana’. Students of Class VI to VIII enacted the birth scene of Lord Rama, how the ‘Swayamvar’ of Goddess Sita took place and then they proceeded to their exile period. Children were excited to showcase the fight between Lord Ram and Ravana. Students looked fabulous dressed in beautiful attires. They wholehearted participated in the event and learnt about the different chapters of ‘Ramayana’.

Shemrock School 

Mohali: Students of Shemrock School participated in the district-level taekwondo tournament held in Mohali. Students won five gold medals, five silver medals and three bronze medals. Dhrave Sharma won the gold medal whereas Aditya Chadha and Avnipal won the silver medal and Rajan Sharma won the bronze medal in the under-14 age group in boys. Ishmin also won the bronze medal in the under-14 girls’ category.

British School 

Chandigarh: The TBS Foundation family celebrated the navratri festival with joy and vigour. Tiny tots came dressed in traditional attire and tapped their feet to dandiya beats. The school principal joined the celebration with students.  TNS
