Fire at Golf Club

Chandigarh, October 20

A fire broke out in sauna bath chamber situated in basement of the Golf Club today. According to firemen, they received a call at 1:50 pm from manager of the club following which a fire tender was rushed to the spot. However, the fire tender failed to enter the gate as the passage was narrow.

Following which, a bike loaded with fire safety equipment was rushed to the spot. Later, passage was opened for the fire tender too. Fire tenders doused the flames within 10 minutes. However, to drive out smog, an emergency vehicle was called from Sector 17 fire station.

Officials said the cause of fire could not be known and they were inquiring into the case.
