Five booked for threatening Sec 52 resident

CHANDIGARH: The Chandigarh Police have booked five persons for threatening a Sector 52 resident and asking him to give a false statement in a case undergoing trial at the District Courts here.

The Chandigarh Police have booked five persons for threatening a Sector 52 resident and asking him to give a false statement in a case undergoing trial at the District Courts here.

According to the police, complainant Lalji, a resident of Tin Colony, alleged that Aman, Chaman, Chuski, Gunga and Anil entered his house and threatened him to give a false statement in the court regarding a case registered at the Sector 36 police station on February 21, 2018.

Acting on Lalji’s complaint, the police have registered a case under Sections 195-A (threatening any person to give false evidence), 452 (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 34 (acts done by several persons in furtherance of common intention) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) against the convicts at the Sector 36 police station.
