Gurukul Global School celebrated Baisakhi with fervour. A special assembly was conducted wherein students apprised of the importance of the festival through a powerpoint presentation.

Gurukul Global School celebrated Baisakhi with fervour. A special assembly was conducted wherein students apprised of the importance of the festival through a powerpoint presentation. Later, the students presented folk dances of Punjab and were looking vibrant in Punjabi attire. 

Satluj Public, Panchkula

Satluj Public School, Sector 4, held its 15th  Cambridge convocation. Certificates were given to more than 102 students of key English test (KET) and preliminary English test (PET) by the University of Cambridge, UK, through British Council for English language assessment. The function was presided over by Director-Principal Krit Serai. Majority of the students passed the tests with merit and distinctions

PML SD, Chandigarh

‘Petals’, the Primary Wing of PML SD Public School, Sector 32, organised an orientation programme for parents of Nursery students. In the programme, parents were guided about the teaching and study schedule. Parents too came up with their queries and suggestions. Later, they were served tea and snacks.

Saint Soldier, Chandigarh

Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh, celebrated Fire Prevention Day. The NSS volunteers told the students about various causes of fire disasters and preventive measures to be followed at places like schools and homes. 

Ryan International, Chandigarh

A personality grooming session was organised for Montessori students at Ryan International School, Chandigarh. The day began with the students introducing themselves as they played passing the parcel. After the introduction, they were given an activity where they were to see themselves in the mirror and groom themselves to become presentable. 

Saupin’s, Panchkula

A workshop on techniques of hand washing was undertaken by the school doctor, Dr Jyoti, at Saupin’s School. Eight steps of hand washing as recommended by the WHO were demonstrated to the students of Classes I to V. 

St Joseph’s, Chandigarh

St Joseph’s Senior Secondary School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh, celebrated Baisakhi with fervour. Students deleivered speeches highlighting the religious and cultural significance of the festival. They also recited poems and performed bhangra. The gatka performance by Tej Pratap Singh of Class VII was apprecaited by one and all. 

 KB DAV, Chandigarh

Baisakhi was celebrated at KB DAV Senior Secondary Public School, Sector 7-B, Chandigarh, with enthusiasm. All students came in traditional Punjabi attire. The assembly began with ‘Ek Omkar’ prayer, followed by a poetry recitation activity. The function concluded with the students dancing to the tunes of Punjabi song. 

MJS Ramgarhia, Chandigarh

MJS Ramgarhia Public School celebrated Baisakhi with enthusiasm. All students came in colourful dresses. Principal Sudesh Kohli told the children about the importance of the festival. Students presented poems, solo dance, group dance and bhangra. 

Solitaire International, Panchkula

Baisakhi was celebrated at Solitaire International School, Sector 20, Panchkula, with fervour. The day began with a prayer to the Almighty. The students were told about significance of the festival. Later, they enjoyed performing bhangra with their teachers. A visit to nearby fields was organised.
