Husband, in-laws booked for dowry death

PATIALA:Seven months after a woman died, the Patiala Police have booked her husband and in-laws for dowry death.

Seven months after a woman died, the Patiala Police have booked her husband and in-laws for dowry death. The accused have been identified as Harvinder Singh (Husband), Kiranpal (mother-in-law) and Roshan Lal (father-in-law), residents of district Kaithal in Haryana.

The case has been registered after preliminary investigation. The victim had died at a private nursing home in Patiala on April 4 during her treatment after she was, allegedly, beaten by her in-laws. The police informed that the victim had two children and after both kids died in 2017, the in-laws started demanding dowry from her. 

The police said that they registered the case and started the investigation. — TNS
