In-laws booked on rape charge

AMBALA:The local police on Saturday booked five persons on the charges of criminal intimidation and rape.

The local police on Saturday booked five persons on the charges of criminal intimidation and rape. 

In a complaint to the police, a Shahzadpur-based woman said she was married to Rajesh, a resident of Shahazadpur eight years ago. “After the marriage, my husband and in-laws started ill-treating me. My brother-in-law and husband’s cousin had bad intentions.”

She accused her brother-in-law and husband’s cousin of raping her.  “When I informed my husband about it, I was assaulted,” she added. The accused have been identified as Rajesh (husband),  father-in-law Ajaib Singh, mother-in-law Jarnailo Devi, brother-in-law Mukesh and her husband’s cousin Praveen.
