Inter-school dance contest

Chandigarh: Post Graduate Government College, Sector 46, Chandigarh, wore a shabby look on Monday as garbage was littered in the parking area after an event was organised on Sunday.



Patiala: With an aim to hone the dancing skills of students, an inter-school dance competition was held at St Xavier’s International School, Patiala, under the aegis of Patiala Sahodaya Complex. The theme of the competition was folk dances of India. As many as 19 CBSE schools of Patiala participated in the competition. Dr Indira Bali and Prabhdeep Kaur from the Department of Dance, Punjabi University, Patiala, were the judges. The first prize was won by St Peter’s Academy, Patiala. The second position was bagged by Shivalik Public School, and Ryan International Public School won third prize. DAV Public School won the consolation prize. TNS
