Chandigarh, July 12
Interviews for appointing new Vice-Chancellor of Panjab University will be held on July 17. Vice-president and Panjab University Chancellor M Venkaiah Naidu has constituted a search committee headed by Dr Kapil Kapoor, former pro-vice-chancellor of Jawaharlal Nehru University.
As many as 169 applicants have applied for the post of the VC. Prominent among the candidates are ADN Bajpai, former vice-chancellor of Himachal Pradesh University and Prof Tankeshwar Kumar, VC of Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar.
The term of incumbent VC Prof Arun Grover ends on July 22. At least 10 years of experience as a professor in a university is must for applying. — TNS
