Investors’ summit begins today

MOHALI: The Progressive Punjab Investors Summit-2019 will witness industry honchos from Japan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Germany who will share expertise with their counterparts during the two-day event starting at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Sector 81, here from tomorrow.

The Progressive Punjab Investors Summit-2019 will witness industry honchos from Japan, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and Germany who will share expertise with their counterparts during the two-day event starting at the Indian School of Business (ISB), Sector 81, here from tomorrow.

Mohali DC Girish Dayalan said there would be a special session in which representatives from partnering countries would not only share their expertise, but also highlight the potential and opportunities for collaboration.

Dayalan, who took the stock of all arrangements at the venue today, said several players from the participating countries had already expressed interest in increasing investment in Punjab.

“I am sure that investors from abroad will be attracted to Punjab, particularly to Mohali, which houses international airport and offers good infrastructure for industrial setup,” Dayalan said.

He said during the summit, various sessions would be held, which included experience sharing by Punjab industrialists, panel discussions between industry leaders to understand the needs and demands of the sector.

Dayalan said the event would see participation from leading industrialists, new-age entrepreneurs, foreign missions and dignitaries.
