Mohali, July 9

As many as 25 persons, including AAP MLA Kanwar Sandhu, took the dope test at the Mohali Civil Hospital. The hospital has been receiving a large number of applications everyday after Punjab Cabinet Minister Tript Rajinder Singh Bajwa dared the Chief Minister to take the test and was in favour of all politicians doing the same.

The test checks for presence of hard drugs in the urine of the applicant. However, it does not check the blood stream. The presence of alcohol in the system is also not checked.

Senior Medical Officer of the hospital Manjit Singh informed that they had a team of four persons, who conduct these tests. The tests are the same that are conducted for people who wish to obtain an arms licence in the state. “The report is prepared on the same day and sent to the Deputy Commissioner’s office,” added the SMO.
