Kids ‘R’ Kids School organised teachers training programme on AdvancED international accreditation. Dr Rob Leveillee was the key speaker. He said teachers training was an investment that yielded high returns and that project-based learning was a dynamic teaching approach which promoted student engagement and problem-solving.

Govt Model, Maloya

A prize distribution function was held at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Maloya village, to felicitate the students who brought laurels in national and state level sports tournaments. Principal Kamlesh and Vice-Principal Gurcharan Singh gave away medals, certificates and cash prizes to the winners. Sarbjit Singh, DPE, said more than 50 students represented the school at national level in kabaddi in the past three years.

Sri Guru Harkrishan, Chandigarh

An interactive session on ‘Basics of Atomic Structure’ by Dr KS Vishwanathan, Associate Professor, Department of Chemical Sciences, IISER, Mohali, was held on the school premises for Classes IX and XI. The aim was to explore future directions, scientific impacts and technological connections of research at atomic and molecular level in physical chemistry. A small quiz round was also conducted.

St. Teresa Convent, Panchkula

The farewell ceremony was conducted by St Teresa Convent School, Sector 25, at Prabhat Inn, Sector 10, for Classes X and XII. Students enjoyed sumptuous lunch and scintillating cultural treat. The title for Ms Teresian was given to Nishita of Class X and Mr Teresian was given to Aryan of Class 10 and Jaspreet of Class XII. The Principal blessed the outgoing batch and extended her good wishes to them for a bright future.

Saint Soldier International, Chandigarh

A Prize distribution ceremony was held at Saint Soldier International School, Sector 28-B, Chandigarh, to acknowledge the students who brought laurels by winning various inter-school competitions. Principal Vijaya Sidhu felicitated the winners in the morning assembly and congratulated them.

Guru Nanak Foundation, Mohali

To pay homage to the CPRF Jawans martyred in the Pulwama attack, staff and students of Guru Nanak Foundation Public School, Sector 92, Mohali, observed a two-minute silence and performed ‘Japji Sahib Path’ in the morning assembly.

DAV School, Surajpur

‘Be a jack of all trades and master them all,” said Principal Mamta Goel on the eve of valedictory function which was held on the premises of the junior wing of DAV, Surajpur. The programme commenced with an introductory speech by Oratory Club students. Dance, music and theatre club members presented group dance, a bhajan and a skit. Distinguished students were honoured with certificates and prizes.

AKSIPS-125, Mohali

The AKSIPS-125, Mohali, organised a mega carnival in the school campus with fun and frolic. A variety of interesting events, including a magic show, puppet show and dance performances were organised to enthrall the students. Mouth-watering food, games and fun time with companions and dear ones made the day remarkable. The overwhelming response and the performance of the children kept the audience enthralled for hours. Camel ride, tattoo making, singing and painting competitions were added attractions.
