Man arrested for molesting woman

The Dera Bassi police on Friday arrested a resident of Bihar on the charges of outraging the modesty of a woman and threatening her. The 35-year-old victim had lodged a complaint with the police, following which a case was registered and the police arrested the accused. The accused has been identified as Vinod Yadav, a construction supervisor.

The victim, in her complaint to the police, said she worked as daily-wage labourer. When she went to work on Friday in an under-construction building, the accused tried to touch her and also threatened to kill her if she disclosed the matter to anyone.
