Man booked for abducting woman

The police have registered a case against a man for kidnapping and abducting a woman.

The father of the 24-year-old woman told the police that accused Sahil Maini of Ferozepur, who works in the city, allegedly took his daughter to Rock Garden in Chandigarh in a car. The complainant further said the accused then took his daughter to an undisclosed location from Rock Garden. The accused along with two others, who were already present there, allegedly forced his daughter to put on a marriage dupatta and bangles, and later clicked her photographs.

The police said the woman jumped off an auto-rickshaw and returned home. — TNS
