PATIALA: The police have booked a 52-year-old man for allegedly killing his wife Veena Rani (50), on suspicion of extra-marital affair on Monday. The accused has been identified as Suresh Kumar.

The police have booked a 52-year-old man for allegedly killing his wife Veena Rani (50), on suspicion of extra-marital affair on Monday. The accused has been identified as Suresh Kumar. 

The police officials who reached the spot said as per the claims of Suresh’s son, who works with the Punjab Police, his father murdered Veena by stabbing her multiple times with a knife.

 The cops said Suresh also tried to kill himself by slitting his arm. The police have recovered a suicide note written by the accused.  DSP Yogesh Sharma said the police have registered a case against under Section 302 of the IPC. — TNS
