Man held for outraging girl’s modesty in Lalru

LALRU:The police today arrested a man for allegedly outraging the modesty of a minor girl here.

The police today arrested a man for allegedly outraging the modesty of a minor girl here.

On the complaint of the victim, a Class X student and a resident of Handesera village, the police have registered a case against the accused under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 506 (punishment for criminal intimidation) of the IPC.

The minor girl, in her complaint to the police, had alleged that the accused, Mukesh Kumar, a resident of Handesera, had been stalking her for the past few days and also harassed her. She also told the police that the accused also caught hold of her arm when she was going out.

The police have arrested Mukesh Kumar. Further investigations are on in the case.
