CHANDIGARH: A 56-year-old man has been arrested for outraging the modesty of a woman in Chandigarh.

A 56-year-old man has been arrested for outraging the modesty of a woman in Chandigarh.

According to the police, the complainant reported that the suspect, identified as Dinesh Chander, a resident of Saini Vihar, Baltana, Zirakpur, outraged her modesty at the Food Corporation of Indian (FCI) building in Sector 31 here on April 18.

The police were informed about the incident, following which an investigation was initiated.

A case under Sections 354 (assault or criminal force to woman with intent to outrage her modesty) and 354-A (sexual harassment) of the IPC was registered against the suspect at the Sector 31 police station. Later, the suspect was arrested in the case.
