Man held for passing lewd remarks at girls

Chandigarh, October 17

A 32-year-old man has been arrested for making obscene gestures and passing lewd remarks at girls near MCM College, Sector 36.

The police said they received information that a man was making obscene gestures while sitting in his car near the college. The police said on October 16, the girls, who were passing by a choe near the college, informed them about the suspect sitting in a Figo car and making obscene gestures.

The police rushed to the spot and nabbed the suspect, identified as Aftab Alam of Maloya. The police said the suspect was a contractor and provided labour for construction. He was sent to judicial custody. — TNS
