Man held with heroin

Chandigarh: The Crime Branch of the UT Police has arrested a Burail resident while possessing 50 grams of heroin. According to the police, the accused, Sukhbir Singh, was nabbed near the residential area of Sector 45 while possessing heroin. The police said a case has been registered against the accused under the NDPS Act at the Sector 34 police station. TNS

Silver items stolen from car

Chandigarh: Two unidentified miscreants managed to steal valuables after breaking the windowpane of a Fortuner SUV parked in Mani Majra. According to the police, complainant Amit Jain, a resident of NAC, Mani Majra, said the unknown persons broke the rear glass of his SUV parked in the market and managed to steal silver items. A case has been registered at the Mani Majra police station. TNS
