Man held with illegal weapon

Ambala, December 2

The police have arrested Vikram, alias Vicky, of Shahzadpur near here and claimed to have recovered an illegal .315-bore pistol and a live cartridge from him, officials said here on Monday.

According to the police, the suspect was stopped for checking at a check post near the Mukandpur turn in Shahzadpur. His search yielded the illegal weapon loaded with live cartridge.

The suspect was produced before a court, which remanded him to two-day police custody. — TNS
