Manav Rachna Int’l School

Students of Classes I to VII of Manav Rachna International School, Mohali, visited the NSNIS Patiala for an excursion. They got exposure to many national and international sports like, wushu, fencing, boxing, wrestling, athletics, football and handball. Students also got an opportunity to interact with national and international coaches of different games. They also went to pay obeisance at Gurdwara Shri Dukhniwaran Sahib to seek blessings.

Satluj Public School 

A special assembly was held at Satluj Public School, Sector 4, Panchkula, on the occasion of World Students’ Day (former President Abdul Kalam’s birthday) to bring forth his visionary ideas through enlightening speeches and skits by the students.

GMSSS-38 (West) DMC

To observe the ‘UN International Day of Girl Child’, poster-making and slogan-writing competitions were held at Government Model Senior Secondary School, Sector 38 (west), Chandigarh. An interactive session was also held followed by an awareness rally which was jointly organised by the Peace Club of the Mahatma Gandhi Student Legal Literacy Club of the school. Rajinderpal Kaur, principal, addressed the students on the occasion and urged them to spread the spirit of gender equality.

Shemford Futuristic School

Shemford Futuristic School, Pinjore, welcomed Shemstar Angelica Piplani for clinching 4th position and a cash prize of Rs one lakh at India’s Best Dramebaaz- 2018. The incandescent artiste dazzled the stage of the popular TV show with her expertise.

St Joseph’s Sr Sec School 

Grandparents Day was celebrated at the kindergarten block of St Joseph’s Sr Sec School, Sector 44-D, Chandigarh. Grandparents of tiny tots were invited to the school to be a part of the celebration. Little Josephians overcame all inhibitions to put up a spectacular show to entertain and please their grandparents. They expressed unconditional love for them in the form of different songs. Grandparents enthusiastically participated and enjoyed various games.

New India Sr Sec School

New India Senior Secondary School, Sector 15, Panchkula, celebrated Grandparents Day. The function started with Ganesh Vandana and a welcome song by the kindergarten students. Catwalk by the grandparents set the stage on fire. Music and enthusiastic grandparent-grandchild combinations made the events runaway hits.

Sri Guru Harkrishan School 

Sri Guru Harkrishan Sr Sec Public School, Sector 40-C, Chandigarh, organised an awareness programme to celebrate the National Anti-Drug Addiction Day for the students of Classes VIII to X. School counsellor Rimpa Mishra made the students aware about drug menace, its effects on physical, mental and social aspects, prevention and remedies through an open discussion round and PowerPoint presentation.

PML SD Public School

PML SD Public School, Sector-32, Chandigarh, organised the CBSE Cluster XVIII Athletics Meet (boys and girls) 2018 at the Sports Complex, Sector 46-A, Chandigarh. Anjali Chabbra, Assistant Education Officer, CBSE, New Delhi, was the chief guest on the occasion. She hoisted the flag and released multi-coloured balloons. A vibrant cultural show was also presented on the occasion which was appreciated by one and all.

AKSIPS-41 Smart School

Students of Classes V, VI and VIII of AKSIPS-41 Smart School participated in ‘Conserve my planet activity’. They took a pledge that they would conserve water and electricity at their home and school. 

ATS Valley School

The annual exhibition ‘Kalpana’ and thrill activities were held at ATS Valley School, Dera Bassi. The school held an inter-school art, theatre and sports competition. The competitions were based on various topics according to different age-groups. The winners were given certificates.
