Mohali: Manav Rachna International School, Mohali, organised an interschool competition — ‘India Calling-My Dream, My India’ — on its campus. Students showcased their talent in the field of storytelling, music, theatre and visual arts. The event commenced with the lighting of a lamp, followed by a play by Class II students. The overall Trophy was bagged by Chitkara International School Chandigarh.
Stepping Stones
Chandigarh: Hiroshima and Nagasaki Memorial Day was observed at Stepping Stones Senior Secondary School in Chandigarh. A peace assembly was organised, wherein a minute’s silence was observed for those who lost their lives in the tragedy. Children presented speeches, group songs and a skit on terrorism.

Sri Guru Harkrishan
Chandigarh: Students of Sri Guru Harkrishan Model School, Sector 38-D, Chandigarh, conducted a special assembly to remember the martyrs of atomic bomb explosions in Hiroshima and Nagasaki. Students of Class X presented speeches, thoughts, poems and songs to express the suffering and losses caused by the blasts.
