Mataur resident held with 100-gm heroin

MOHALI: The Special Task Force (STF) of the Mohali police today arrested a Mataur resident with 100 grams of heroin.

The Special Task Force (STF) of the Mohali police today arrested a Mataur resident with 100 grams of heroin.

The STF had received information that the accused, identified as Rupinder Singh, alias Bhinder, supplied drugs to his customers in a white i20 car. The 26-year-old was nabbed at a checkpoint set up in Mataur.

The accused, who is a graduate and works as a carpenter, disclosed to the police that Manpreet Singh of Sohana, who met him a year ago, got him addicted to heroin. He went to Delhi to get the drug from a Nigerian. — TNS
